What is The KIND Foundation?
The KIND Foundation is a charitable organization established by KIND. The Foundation aims to deepen what has been the KIND brand’s mission since day one: do the KIND thing for your body, your taste buds and your worldTM. The Foundation will achieve this through activities that strive to improve the way we live, eat and relate to one another.
The KIND Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Why did KIND start a Foundation?
The decision stemmed from KIND's desire to scale its social impact. Businesses have the ability and the responsibility to leave the world a better place. KIND is committed to leaving a positive mark through its brand, healthful products and philanthropy
How can I get in touch with The KIND Foundation?

What is the KIND People program?
KIND People is a program from The KIND Foundation. It will celebrate KIND People who have gone out of their way to help others, particularly those who are vulnerable or in need. Through the program, $1 million in total prizes will be awarded to celebrate exemplary KIND People and support them on their journey to doing more good.
Who should I nominate?
The nomination period closed on March 31st, 2016.
How will nominations be judged?
See the terms & conditions for a comprehensive list of the judging criteria. In sum, judges will look at whether the nominee:
• has stepped out of his or her social circle or everyday routine to do something kind for an individual or community in need
• has made a tangible impact
• embodies values such as empathy; purpose; and authenticity
• has a story or mission with the potential to inspire others

What is the Entrepreneurship Summit?
This Summit is a unique opportunity to help aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs who are focused on businesses that have a positive social impact in their communities. The KIND Foundation, members of the KIND Snacks team, and representatives from Venture for America – a leading fellowship program for entrepreneurs – worked together to put on this educational event. When will the Entrepreneurship Summit take place?
This event took place on November 17, 2016 during National Entrepreneurship Month. To stay up-to-date on future on programming from the Foundation, please follow this link and enter your email at the bottom of the page to join our mailing list.
Where will the Entrepreneurship Summit take place?
The Summit took place at TheTimesCenter in New York City. For those unable to be in NYC, online participation opportunities were provided.
What will happen during the Entrepreneurship Summit?
This event targeted aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs seeking skill development, networking and mentorship. Attendees experienced trainings and workshops intended to propel them forward in building businesses that will have a positive social impact on their communities; they also had the opportunity to hear from KIND Snacks team members, who shared their own experiences building a business that strives to balance commercial success with social impact. Who is eligible to participate?
Aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs who have an appetite for using business to create long-term societal value. Please note that if you are an entrepreneur currently running a business, this event targets companies with less than 10 full-time employees.
When will I know if I have been accepted?
Applicants were accepted on a rolling basis.
Do participants need to pay to attend the summit?
There is no fee to participate in the Summit.
Will summit organizers cover the cost of travel expenses?
All registered participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging. Meals will be provided onsite. As mentioned, if you are not able to travel to NYC, you can participate in online opportunities instead.
