Whether you decide give up your seat on the subway, leave a gift for your neighbor, or help an elderly person cross the street, you can make a small difference. The idea is like that movie Pay It Forward. You treat someone with a random act of kindness and then they do it for a few others. Soon enough everyone is trying to be a better version of themselves — even the most introverted people like Kevin Spacey’s character.
