Thank you to our KIND Community who never ceases to amaze us with the level of kindness you put forth in order to make extraordinary BIG KIND Acts become reality for people in need. This August, because enough of you gave a cold beverage to someone working outside, we teamed up with Denver Whole Foods Markets and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to make a BIG KIND Act happen for hundreds of homeless children.
On a bright and sunny Saturday (August 6), our team loaded up the KIND Food Truck with hundreds of backpacks packed with notebooks, pens, pencils and other supplies and headed to Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to make a very special delivery. Homeless children and families from the surrounding Denver area were gathered at the Coalition’s headquarters for the annual Healthy Kids Fair where they waited in line for free immunizations, vision, hearing and dental screenings.

The KIND team was on the scene to make this year’s health screenings more memorable than ever by greeting the children in line with new backpacks and school supplies to gear them up for the upcoming school year. The backpacks were received with eager hands and thankful smiles as the children looked inside at their new supplies and enjoyed the healthy bagged lunches we’d packed for them. We felt fortunate to be able to share time with the kids and help them take their minds off of their shots by dancing along with them to some Beyonce tunes that were playing.
Every BIG KIND Act reminds us of the unstoppable and rewarding power of kindness – so thank you again for helping to make another BIG KIND Act come true by carrying out the KINDING Mission. We can’t wait to Do the KIND Thing again with you in September!
