Overview
What is your cause and how will it make the world kinder?

A Day In My Shoes Agency, also known as ADIMS, is a music and lifestyle driven nonprofit that creates dream backstage experiences for 19-30-year-olds who have been diagnosed with life-threatening or terminal illness. These experiences are spirit lifting for the participant, as well as their loved ones, and create happy memories for all during a tough time. All experiences are filmed to create a keepsake of the event. ADIMS makes the world kinder by bringing artists, brands, and fans together to share their love of music. ADIMS experiences allow for a young adult to forget about their illness for one day and be treated like a VIP.

How will you use the $10k?

The $10,000 will be used to cover the costs associated with executing 2 experiences as well as building the capacity of our organization to reach more participants. The more funds we have, the more personalized the experiences can be for our participants and the faster we are able to make them a reality. Timing is very important as we are often required to work within treatment schedules and unclear prognosis timelines. Experiences include artist meet and greets, backstage/studio tours, concerts, visits and gifts from lifestyle sponsors.

What impact do you hope to make?

The impact we hope to make is to provide a unique, user-driven once-in-a-lifetime experience for young adults who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening or terminal illness. We hope to create experiences so spectacular for our participants that they are able to forget about their illness, let loose and have fun. We hope to create and document a day full of surprises, smiles, and happiness for our participant and their loved ones to remember forever.
