What is your cause and how will it make the world kinder?
Over 27% of our school-aged children in Albany County, Wyoming will be food insecure this coming summer. That is nearly 2,000 children! This puts their human development and their health at risk. The Kids Out to Lunch program will provide a free nutritious lunch, consisting of fresh food and produce, along with fun, learning and engaging activities for many of these children. The world will be a kinder place with the support of the Kind Foundation, Feeding Laramie Valley, and the folks voting for the "Kids Out to Lunch" cause. By you reading this, you have the opportunity to also make the world kinder.... with a KIND cause! That is vote for KIDS OUT to LUNCH as your favorite KIND cause and spread the KIND cause message.
How will you use the $10k?
The grant funds will be utilized for a free nutritious lunch, consisting of fresh produce and food, to many Laramie and Albany County children. The grant will also fund the children's learning activity after the free lunch. The budget of $10,000 will be allocated to $1000 per week for 10 weeks, which will consist of purchases of fresh foods, drinks, dining supplies, and learning activity supplies for one to two serving locations in Laramie, Wyoming.
What impact do you hope to make?
The impact of this KIND cause is plentiful. Through the "Kids Out to Lunch" program by Feeding Laramie Valley, 2500 Albany County children or more will have access to fresh foods and produce. This lunch will be provided free for children under the age of 18 for ten weeks, five days a week. Access to fresh nutritious food fosters healthy child development and ensures a child a healthy meal. The impact of the "Kids Out to Lunch" program is also lasting through fun, learning and engaging activities. The result of a KIND cause, such as Kids Out to Lunch, is a profound positive impact and will attract more kind causes, now and in the future!
