Overview
What is your cause and how will it make the world kinder?

We are required to do three community service projects a year. In the past we have gone to assisted living homes, Pennies for Patients, made cookies for the homeless, had a sock drive for a local homeless shelter and we’ve handed out cookies for Random Acts of Kindness. Our local news has covered a few of our community service projects.
This year we would like one of our projects to be hygiene kits. We would like small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush, small bars of soap, or anything else you are willing to give. We would put the samples into socks and give them to our local homeless shelters and to our local homeless teen shelter.

How will you use the $10k?

. We would like small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush, small bars of soap, or anything else you are willing to give. We would put the samples into socks and give them to our local homeless shelters and to our local homeless teen shelter. We would need to buy socks to put the items into. The items we would need are shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, bars of soap, hand sanitizes, and other small hygiene things. We would like to make at least 200 or more.

What impact do you hope to make?

We are hoping to make this a yearly event, and the more funds that we have the more kits we can make. We would also like to give them gift certificates to restaurants for our homeless teens, so that they can have a lest one or more meals a day. It is proven that you do better in school, when you have a full stomach.

Other Details

We have started the process already, but we can do this many times through out the year. We are also planning on doing a Random Acts of Kindness in the spring.

Every month, KIND supports one cause with $10,000
