What is your cause and how will it make the world kinder?

We offer competitive employment opportunities for nurturing women who may not otherwise be in the workforce and who bring kindness and understanding to other women of all ages who are in emotional crises. Women of all ages need help transitioning into lifestyles that they are unfamiliar with. We shouldnt have to wait until we are physically ill or senior citizens to have help with depression or isolation. We need to show kindness and understanding to ALL women in crises regardless of age. We should show compassion and offer a helping hand to women who are in emotional crises to help stop drug abuse, suicide, alcholism, depression and isolation. Women are the backbone of our society. We need to be understanding to those who need help.

How will you use the $10k?

We can train women who can then provide Personal Assistant service to at least 100 other women helping these women through their emotional crises with in-home, non-medical care. From cooking to skill building and inspirational coaching. We assist women who are transitioning into lifestyle that they are unfamiliar with such as death of a loved one, divorce, female Veterans who transition from Military to civilian life, female Veterans that have PTSD, women who have been in the hospital for long periods of time, helping them to transition back into their homes, assisting mentally challanged women to live safely, helping elderly women with cooking, cleaning and transportation. This is just some of the kindness that we spread.

What impact do you hope to make?

Ultimately, we hope to stop the depression and isolation women feel when they are in an emotional crises. We hope to stop Veteran suicide by keeping female Veterans engaged with their families & communities, working with them in their homes. We hope to pave the way for future generations of women to take care of each other so that they will be assured that they will never have to be alone. We are available 24/7 for our Clients. We hope to bring women together through a "Standing by Her" campaign that all men and women can be a part of, no matter what background, lifestyle, illness or location that they are in the midst of. We hope to provide care-giving and support for women of all ages & for the future of our daughters and granddaughters.

Other Details

We would train for employment 10-20 women who would provide Personal Assistant service to other women in need. Then we would offer free service to low-income women and female Veterans. The services would focus on those women who are in emotional crises or suffer from PTSD. We have a Veteran to Veteran program where female Veterans help other female Veterans in their homes with uncluttering their lives and homes, getting them out to community events, providing transportation to visit friends and family, and providing inspirational counciling to encourage healthy lifestyles. We provide one-on-one service whether it is transportation, helping them find resources or keeping them engaged in life. We help them to set & reach realistic goals.

Every month, KIND supports one cause with $10,000
