Over the next 6 months, our trainees will gain construction and workplace skills and advance to the next tier of employment as they begin construction on three affordable, first-time home-buyer homes. These high efficiency homes will be built in the Pilotland neighborhood, a formerly vibrant African American neighborhood that suffered disinvestment over the past three decades – Pilotland is now over 1/3 vacant land. Project Homecoming will have an enormous impact on the rebirth of this distinctive area as we build 5 homes and renew pride and desirability to this traditional multi-generational community. The three homes will be completed April, 2017.

Every month, KIND supports one cause with $10,000
