KIND Snacks’ Statement in Response to Updated FDA “Healthy” Definition

December 19, 2024: When KIND started this journey nearly 10 years ago with a Citizen Petition to the FDA, real, wholesome foods like almonds, avocado, and salmon didn’t meet the regulatory definition of “healthy.”

We applaud the FDA for updating the definition, and we're proud to have played a role in grounding the new definition in current nutrition science. More than ever before, we remain committed to our belief that consumers shouldn't have to choose between nutritious and delicious when it comes to snacking.

Simply put: we will always strive to be the snack brand that tastes good, feels good, and does good.
