A SUPER GRAIN TWIST ON CLASSIC FAVORITES – KIND® ADDS DELICIOUS NEW FLAVORS TO ITS AWARD-WINNING KIND HEALTHY GRAINS® BARS LINE
KIND’s new offerings feature innovative takes on classic popcorn, coffeehouse and PB&J flavors
NEW YORK (March 6, 2015) – KIND Healthy Snacks (KIND) today announces multiple extensions to its popular KIND Healthy Grains® Bars line with the addition of two new sub-ranges and a new flavor offering: KIND Healthy Grains Popped bars, KIND Healthy Grains Bars – made with coffee, and KIND Healthy Grains Peanut Butter Berry bars. As with the original five flavors, all have a foundation of super grains that provide a perfectly chewy and crunchy texture.
“At KIND, we believe that you shouldn’t have to make sacrifices when you look to snack,” says KIND’s EVP of Marketing, Lisa Mann. “When we launched KIND Healthy Grains Bars, we created a more complete granola bar that does not require people to choose between crunchy andchewy textures. With the addition of these new varieties, we continue to deliver on this brAND® promise, combining indulgent flavors and wholesome super grains.”
According to the USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans, adults and children ages nine and above should make at least half of their daily grain intake consist of whole grains.* All KIND Healthy Grains bars are made with the highest quality ingredients, including a foundation of five super grains –gluten free oats, millet, quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat –which provide at least 18g of whole grains per bar. Additionally, all new offerings are gluten free, non GMO and low in sodium.
A Super Grain Twist on Popcorn Favorites
Adding an extra pop to the line, KIND Healthy Grains Popped adds a sixth super grain to the mix: sorghum, popped to toasty perfection. Combined with sweet and salty flavors, this new line offers wholesome delivery of indulgent popcorn flavors.
A Super Grain Twist On Coffeehouse Classics
Combining five super grains with rich coffee, KIND Healthy Grains bars – made with coffee are an indulgent, perfectly chewy and crunchy snack.
A Super Grain Twist on the Classic PB&J
Reimagining a lunchbox staple, KIND Healthy Grains Peanut Butter Berry bars are made with a unique blend of five super grains, coated in peanut butter and combined with sweet raspberries and cranberries. Each bar is a good source of fiber, making this new and improved PB&J rendition a nutritious and tasty lunchbox snack.
“Our innovation process starts when we look internally to see what our own team members are craving and how we can satisfy it the KIND way,” says Mann. “These new varieties grew out of that pursuit, delivering indulgent tastes while maintaining our wholesome foundation of super grains.”
All new offerings will join the five current flavors of the KIND Healthy Grains Bars line (Dark Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut, Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt, and Vanilla Blueberry) on www.kindsnacks.com and at grocers nationwide beginning May 1, 2015. Suggested retail price for each is $3.99 per box of five bars in single flavors.
